The snow in the land of sand
Like many, I discovered Morocco by foot. For this first contact, I had chosen a trekking in the High Atlas. My heart of a Savoie person was immediately captivated by the "roof of Morocco", its scenery and majestic mountains made available to me. Plateaus and cliffs succeeded the gorges where the rivers flowed -- with crystal clear water...
Another opportunity ---for me to discover the National Park of Toubkal strong of 100 000 ha which shelters a number of natural species
such as sheeps or golden eagles.
How not to be conquered by Berber country which --- people, warm and rare, apart from the most modern cities like Marrakech or Casablanca, welcomed a growing tourism and yet preserved its ancient traditions.
During these years, I returned several times to Morocco.
Each time, I noted with interest its evolution but rediscovered with joy generosity and warmth that characterize this great country. For its majestic mountains, for its heavy snowfall but also its sunshine, for the determination and pugnacity which their--- inhabitants always showed against the harsh elements, be they majestic, by the judicious mixture of traditions and tourism Savoie and Morocco were able to develop, despite the thousands of miles separating them, common qualities that bring us together today. Thus, for the 6th edition of the Summit of the Images, Courchevel is pleased to host and display photos of Jacques Bravo, Cecile Tréal and Jean-Michel Ruiz, in formats to their extent, unique visual of the remarkable beauty of Morocco.
