Theme of the Forum 2007

The second edition of the PlanetWorkshops took place on 7 and 8 December 2007 in Courchevel. Discussions were structured around the theme "information ecology".

Sustainable development and ecology of information : the need for fluid.
Sustainable development is not a mantra, or a simple variable adjustment, but a source of good for all. At the crossroads, the company tends to use it as a simple communication tool.
But sustainable development is a key parameter of the growth of a company and depends on a relay of information clear, fluent and coherent. But it remains today a complex concept, borrowed technicality misunderstood by too many people. Maybe, just because badly explained, and therefore poorly relayed.

The paths that lead to sustainable development requires expertise, resources and networks but also good information relays. "The Earth Workshops" together the various stakeholders of sustainable development: businesses, governments, NGOs and media in order to establish a permanent advisory network for exchange and sharing of experiences, one that would be a consortium skills and act as a pressure group to defend the common interest.

Our mission is to address in a neutral, all aspects of the life cycle of information on sustainable development to assist in decision-making and implementation of specific solutions by clarifying the speech of everyone. But this can only work with a good understanding of issues and data, facilitating exchanges between all actors of sustainable development.

The Forum meets for two days in Courchevel, captains of industry and business leaders, researchers and scientists, politicians and financiers, large non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and media.
