The 2011 theme “Dare to generate value” is a claim that the creation of economic value for the company should trigger added value for the community.

Initiated and presided by Philippe Vasseur, former French Minister, the World Forum Lille is a cycle of international events in which the objective is to give rise to a global responsible economy by making known the "Best Practices" of companies of all sizes who do business in a responsible way. Spreading these examples and making them contagious is the objective of this forum organised each year in Lille, France by the Alliances network.

For its 5th edition, 5000 company's executives, worldwide recognised CSR experts, students, unions and NGOs coming from all over the world will gather on the 15th, 16th and 17th of November 2011.

The World Forum Lille also launched the Responsible Company Manifesto along with a toolbox of 500 examples of Best Practices.
