At the occasion of the World Water Forum taking place this week in Marseille (France) PricewaterhouseCoopers has published a report entitled “New models of water management” based on the new dynamic ways of managing water issues worldwide.
The aim of this report is to resume all the lessons learned from our past mistakes, understand what is at stake and submit recommendations and suggestions of new models.
Water has become a scarce resource that is getting harder and harder to handle and to control since 7 billion people today have no access to water. The challenges to worldwide water access include financing, transparency in the price and costs of clean water, technological innovation and the main question of the Human Right to Water.
The main issue stays the capacity of finding financial resources and efficient water management systems to allow moderate risk taking for operators.
